HOW IT WORKS

Dual-level drainage with anti-clog weep slits

Tastic Drain uses a patented two-part PVC system: an outer trough carries the water, while an inner insert with weep slits (not holes) suspends your stone fill half an inch above the floor. Run-off flows through the stone, through the slits, and drains freely in the lower void — even in heavy storms.

Unlike round drain holes or grates, the slit design is immune to clogging from debris once protected by stone. Maintenance is minimal: blow off autumn leaves, done.

Set it in the ground at grade

Long 8 ft sections make it easy to maintain a consistent slope over distance. Overlap pieces for any total length needed.

Grade surrounding landscape to the edge

Slope soil on both sides toward the drain so run-off flows naturally in. No curbs or inlet fittings required.

Fill with stone of your choosing

River rock, gravel, crushed stone, field stone, cobble stone— any material the client or designer prefers. The drain disappears beneath it.

Heat-bend around obstacles if needed

REAL-WORLD CASE STUDY

Wet basement - fixed for good

  • The problem: Muddy hillside behind the house drove water through foundation cracks. Prior waterproofing + French drain helped the back wall, but basement dirt floor remained wet from below and another wall.
  • The fix: Tastic Drain installed at the low point behind the house, surrounded by a rock drain field graded to slope away from the foundation. A second low-height run along the side of the house carried the runoff and caught drips from the roof which lacked a rain gutter.
  • The result: Basement dried completely. Concrete floor poured. Basement finished. Sump pump — bone dry. The property was further landscaped to direct run-off at the house where it vanishes into the drain field.
